Postcards are dramatic direct mail items. They catch your eye with their visible images. They are easy to turn-over and scan. When you find something you are interested in, they are easy to read. If that something is "you" (like your name), then you are most likely going to look more closely. When these postcards are InsetCards, you'll go even further, you'll keep it, you'll investigate it, you'll look for more.

Insetcards use high resolution, digitally processed and printed photos, graphics, and text to produce stunning postcards. We use state-of-the-art printing systems capable of 2400 dpi image resolution. The postcards are printed in full color, both sides, with full bleed. We print on heavyweight (300gsm) 12pt card stock. We perforate around the "inset" collectible cards with a micro-pattern cut, yielding a strong card that stands up to the mailing systems yet is easy for the recipient to separate cleanly.

Typical dimensions

Our most popular design is a postcard that is 8 inches wide by 5 inches tall. This is much larger than the standard postcard, making it more dramatic, providing space for a full-size trading card (2.5x3.5), and giving you room for your advertising message. This design also allows the trading card to be used as a membership card or even a wallet-sized photo item.

Another design is a standard postcard (5.5 inches by 4.25 inches, approx) which fits smaller "inset" cards, such as business cards and tickets/coupons. This design is a more economical product since it qualifies for reduced postal rates.

 You may also order traditional, un-perforated postcards in either size and you may order trading cards separately.

Advanced personalization and customization

The entire design may be dynamic, producing a 100% unique card for each and every person. That means images can be changed, allowing co-sponsors to add their logos, for example. Text on either side of the postcard and trading card can be changed allowing for the ultimate form of personal communication.

The Insetcards designs use "templates" which specify both the source for and placement of design information. The customizations are virtually limitless, leveraging database technologies to drive variable data presentations. Every postcard and every collectible card can be different for every customer. In fact, they already are by the custom markings we put on them for you. Old style postcards printed on old style presses simply cannot produce items with comparable uniqueness.
